Built in 1904 by the British, The Victoria Falls Hotel is the grandest and oldest hotel of the area. Initially built as accommodation for the railway workers for Cecil Rhodes’ dream ‘Cape Town to Cairo’ railway, it is steeped in history which the hotel references throughout the long carpeted corridors featuring drawings, maps and photographs of pioneers and famous explorers.
