The Hide is situated in a private concession in the eastern section of Hwange National Park giving it the advantage of being within the largest national park in Zimbabwe and also having the flexibility on activities due to its private concession. The Hide overlooks a large natural waterhole which is the only water source for miles, ensuring great wildlife sightings from the lodge. There is a superb hide built just in front of the main lodge, so a quick ten metre walk underground brings you to a lookout right in front of the waterhole, enhancing the close wildlife sightings. There is also another hide on the far side of the waterhole for an alternative view.
Ten canvas safari tents under thatch have spacious en-suite accommodation with private verandahs, all overlooking the waterhole and vlei area where an array of animals come to drink. To make your stay even more enjoyable there is an upstairs viewing area, sun lounge and wine cellar. For the more adventurous there is the “Doves Nest’ tree house which can be pre-booked at an extra charge for a romantic sleep out.
