Ivory Lodge is located on a private concession of 2,400 hectares adjoining the Hwange National Park. One of the original lodges in the area, this charming safari lodge is set amongst indigenous flora, its thatched units constructed on stilts amidst teak trees. 7 “tree-houses,” 2 spacious, tented suites on stilts, and one ground-level family unit offer comfortable accommodation, private decks and beautiful views over the plains and an active waterhole. The open style of the accommodation ensures visitors have an intimate bush experience in a natural wilderness. The central thatch zones flow out to gardens, a fire pit and a shaded pool. In the evenings, the floodlit waterhole may be best appreciated from an upstairs library. Enjoy day game drives through the private concession and Hwange. Night drives and guided walks are conducted in the Ivory Lodge Concession. The area is the long-standing home range of the frequently seen Presidential Herd of elephants.
