Gorges Lodge has one of the most stunning settings in southern Africa, perched on the edge of Batoka Gorge 200 metres above the Zambezi River and 10km downstream from Victoria Falls. The view down into the gorge is breath-taking and is certainly not for the vertigo-sufferers amongst you! If you want to feel like you are staying on the edge of the world, this is the place. It is unique in its positioning and really is all about the spectacular view.

There are ten stone and thatch cottages dotted along the gorges edge; six are single storey and four are double storey. Boasting magnificent views each also has a private garden and decked verandah or balcony where you can relax. Each cottage is en-suite with a shower, and has an overhead fan, mosquito nets, minibar and tea and coffee facilities. Built on a deck of indigenous hard wood the elegantly decorated lounge, dining room and bar teeter on the very edge of the gorge offering extraordinary views. The lodge does have WiFi in the main lounge area as well as some mobile phone reception, but in general, Gorges is an environmental lodge that works hard with the local community to make a difference in someone else’s life while protecting and conserving the environment.
