Day 1
You are met on arrival in Bulawayo and transferred to the Matobo Hills where you will stay for three nights to explore this beautiful area. Spend today relaxing at the lodge and planning your activities for the next couple of days.
Day 2
Day to explore the Matobo area. Activities include game drives in Matobo National Park, walking safaris, guided walks to San Rock Art sites, tracking white and black rhino, guided tours with archaeologist and historian Paul Hubbard, a visit to Rhodes’ final resting place ‘View of the World’, and a visit to a local Matabele homestead, school and clinic.
Day 3
Day to explore the Matobo area. Activities include game drives in Matobo National Park, walking safaris, guided walks to San Rock Art sites, tracking white and black rhino, guided tours with archaeologist and historian Paul Hubbard, a visit to Rhodes’ final resting place ‘View of the World’, and a visit to a local Matabele homestead, school and clinic.
Day 4
Today you will be transferred by road to Hwange National Park where you will stay for three nights on safari. Spend the rest of the day relaxing and settling into the lodge and enjoying the views from the main lounge and deck area of the camp which overlooks a waterhole and ancient walkway for the elephants.
Day 5
Today is a full day on safari with morning and afternoon safari activities such as game drives or walking safaris. Between the safaris you will have time to relax at the lodge enjoying brunch and high tea as well as any game sightings from the lodge itself. In the evening you will enjoy drinks around the campfire and a hearty 3-course meal.
Day 6
Today is a full day on safari with morning and afternoon safari activities such as game drives or walking safaris. Between the safaris you will have time to relax at the lodge enjoying brunch and high tea as well as any game sightings from the lodge itself. In the evening you will enjoy drinks around the campfire and a hearty 3-course meal.
Day 7
Enjoy the morning on game drive and after a scrumptious breakfast you will be collected by your driver and transferred to Victoria Falls town where you will stay for two nights at a hotel. Enjoy the rest of the day relaxing and settling into the hotel.
Day 8
Today is a full day at leisure to explore Victoria Falls. You could take a guided tour of the Falls by foot. Alternatively, if you are feeling more adventurous you could take a helicopter flight over the Falls, or even do a bungee jump off the bridge into the gorge. There are many other activities that can be discussed.
Day 9
After a hearty breakfast you will be transferred to Victoria Falls International Airport in time for your flight to Mana Pools main airstrip. Your lodge will meet you and transfer you to settle into camp where you will stay for 3 nights on safari. You may arrive in time for an evening activity today, but otherwise you will be settling into camp for the rest of today and enjoying a meal under the stars this evening.
Day 10
Today is a full day on safari with morning and afternoon safari activities such as game drives, boat safaris, fishing or walking safaris. Between the safaris you will have time to relax at the lodge enjoying brunch and high tea as well as any game sightings from the lodge itself. In the evening you will enjoy drinks around the campfire and a hearty 3-course meal.
Day 11
Today is a full day on safari with morning and afternoon safari activities such as game drives, boat safaris, fishing or walking safaris. Between the safaris you will have time to relax at the lodge enjoying brunch and high tea as well as any game sightings from the lodge itself. In the evening you will enjoy drinks around the campfire and a hearty 3-course meal.
Day 12
Today you will be transferred to the airstrip in time for your onward light aircraft flight to an international airport.
