The San are the indigenous people of Southern Africa who lived a nomadic life and had a very close bond to the nature and wildlife around them, particularly from a spiritual perspective with animals and birds. A lot of the cave paintings that the bushmen drew on cave walls are symbolic of this spiritual relationship with nature.
